About 0x Society
0x Society™ was founded in May 2021 as a non profit organization to focus on the promotion, diffusion and support of the crypto art movement. We believe that crypto art has the power to help people transcend physical and conceptual boundaries and change the way they look at art.
It is the first non-profit crypto art centre in Canada, offering not only highly curated in-person and virtual exhibitions at 0x NFT Art Gallery, but also thorough educational content with 0x Academy and generous grant programs for artists through the 0x Grants Program.
Our NFT Art Gallery is located in Montreal, on the historic site of New City Gas. It officially opened its doors to the public on July 2, 2021 and showcases a different themed exhibit every two months. All crypto art exhibits are presented by Produkt.
0x Society is an initiative co-founded by Yannick Folla and Bianca Lessard, in collaboration with top Montreal artists Alycia Rainaud (Maalavidaa) and Alexy Préfontaine (Aeforia) as Creative Advisors. Yannick and Bianca started collecting crypto art in January 2021 and quickly realized that education was the path to greater adoption. They opened 0x Society’s NFT Art Gallery only a couple months later with the goal of demonstrating that crypto art can also be tangible.
